If you’re a non-commercial entity, you’ll want a Level 2 charger. Our team recommends Level 2 because it can reduce the full charge time to just three hours. The difference between the Level 1 and Level 2 is:
Most of the appliances in your home run off of a 240-volt breaker, and we will outfit your space to have an outdoor charger capable of producing 240V of power.
We’ll take care of grounding, installing the 4-strand cable and properly positioning the charger to make it as convenient as possible for you.
Level 3 chargers are for commercial use and are the “fast charger” for an EV. Charging stations offering fast chargers allow EV owners to charge their EV up to 80% in just 30 minutes. Special equipment and installation requirements make the Level 3 charger a very expensive option for homeowners.
Your vehicle will come with a Level 1 charger. A Level 1 charger will plug into your electrical outlet at home, but the charge time is up to 20 hours, depending on the type of EV you own. Many of our clients start with their Level 1 charger and then come to us when they want to boost their charging speed.
